Never have I had a vegan fish analog that came close to the real thing, until I got that first taste of Gardein's Fish-less Filets. Flaky inside, crisp outside...it's just like I remember...but better! No little fishies harmed, fortified with omega 3s, no massive amounts of deep fry grease, and no crappy decorations. Serve with chips and malt vinegar, on tacos, or like I do here, on a vegan po' boy. Yay!
1 package Gardein Fish-less Filets (6 pieces), prepared according to packaging, kept warm
1 cup shredded romaine
1/2 cup shredded red cabbage
1 large tomato thinly sliced
3 to 4 pepperoncinis thinly sliced
1/4 cup vegan mayo
1 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
2 crusty 6 inch sandwich rolls, split in half (you know, like, for a sandwich)
salt and pepper to taste
This entire process can be seen in on my Periscope.tv broadcast attached below.
