Tips for avoiding delayed onset muscle soreness:
- Stretch before workout, between sets, and after workout
- Ample hydration
- Anti-inflamatory foods, herbs, and spices like turmeric, ginger, and devil's claw
- Self massaging of affected areas
- Foam roller
- Stretch in a steam room and/or sauna, post workout (if you don't have a steamroom or sauna at home, the one at your gym will suffice).
